USG Boral has created an inter-tenancy wall solution with additional mould resistance.
USG Boral's Shaftliner plasterboard panels now include mould inhibiting ingredients and claim the highest rating available when independently tested against ASTM D3273 and ASTM G21.
Shaftliner MouldStop is specially manufactured and developed for use with USG Boral systems, including Partiwall, IntRwall and Shaft Wall, forming a key component of multi-residential and commercial interior linings.
USG Boral assures builders using these inter-tenancy wall systems that when Shaftliner MouldStop plasterboard is exposed to the elements during construction, it will be resistant to mould growth, improving the performance of existing USG Boral plasterboard systems.
With the unpredictability of delays due to shifting project timelines or wet weather days, having weather exposed plasterboard on-site for longer than needed may lead to mould growth. Removal of mould can add unnecessary delay and expense to developments.
Compliant to relevant deem-to-satisfy (DtS) provisions of the BCA (Building Code of Australia) for structural, fire and acoustic performance when used in USG Boral systems, Shaftliner MouldStop is also manufactured using 100 percent recycled liner paper.
As with all USG Boral plasterboard products, Shaftliner MouldStop has been independently tested to confirm compliance with Green Star specification limits for VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and formaldehyde.
Shaftliner MouldStop is available now in Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland and Northern Territory with plans for it to be available nationally by the end of 2020.
